TRIP INTENTIONS - Let someone know before you go. Check in when you return

Leave a written record (Trip Intentions Form) of your trip plans with a reliable person so that person can notify the appropriate authorities without delay if you fail to return when expected. This information should include:
• Names, addresses and phone numbers of all in the party.
• Details of planned trip.
• Location, make and registration of vehicle/s used.
• The reliable person should be a friend or relative at home, or a member of your lodge.
• In addition, if an Intentions Book is provided where you start your trip, please use it – even on the shortest trips.

Trip Intentions Forms are widely available from resort administration offices and police stations, in the Snow Safe booklet or download and print the form below.
Acrobat Reader required.

Alcohol & Drugs are fuel for disaster in the snow, they impair your judgement and your ability. Your reaction times are significantly reduced and increase the risk of injury. The whole alpine experience begins when you leave home and doesn’t finish until you return. Avoid alcohol consumption and the use of illegal substances, because they increase your risk of hypothermia.

Alcohol & Drugs impair judgement, slow response time and reduce your ability to respond to an emergency.
