Let someone know before you go

Leave a written record of your trip plans with a reliable person so that person can notify the appropriate authorities without delay if you fail to return when expected.

Let someone know before you go. Check-in when you return.

The information you share about your trip plan should include:

  • Names, addresses and phone numbers of all members of your party.

  • Details of your planned trip, departure date and time, estimated place and time of arrival.

  • The location, make and registration of any vehicle/s you are using.

The reliable person should be a friend, a relative at home or a member of your lodge. In addition, if an Intentions Book is provided where you start your trip, please use it – even on the shortest trips.

Trip Intentions Forms are widely available from resort administration offices and police stations.
